The Tip Show Visually How-to Properly Installing the kernel-devel Package with the Kernel Headers for Linux Mageia.

  1. Open a Terminal Window
  2. Find System Arch 
    uname -a
  3. Run Rpmdrake GUI 
    su -c rpmdrake
  4. Searching in All Packages by “kernel” Keyword

  5. Selecting the Latest Couple (Right 32/64bit Arch):

    • kernel-desktop
    • kernel-desktop-devel

  6. Confirm Installation of Corresponding New Kernel If Needed
  7. Eventually Switch to the New Booting Kernel and Reboot
